Slide Hill Park, standing under the tall pines
And looking up at the Waning Gibbous moon.
Ssh. The whole city is sleeping.
The soft light filters down through the trees
To the bed of pine needles
Below my feet.
A cold, wet winter;
Hot water in a tub never felt better!
Light the candles and join me, dear.
Let that old wind howl.
If you want to change the world, start with the next person who comes to you in need."
-B. D. Schiers
When my master and I were walking in the rain, he would say, "Do not walk so fast, the rain is everywhere."
I try to live in the present moment. I often fail. When I realize that my mind is wandering, I just let that go. All I really have is the present moment; it makes sense to try and present for it.
No longer dividing the world into good and bad, love and hate, we not only have more freedom and ease in daily life; we also gain access to the wisdom of our real nature.
